My primary task is baggage loading/unloading. I sort the baggage checked in by passengers at the departure counter by its destination and load it into the unit load device (ULD: a generic term for the equipment used in the cargo hold of an aircraft), and depending on the tasks assigned, I may also load the baggage of passengers directly into the lower cargo hold of the aircraft. I also check when loading baggage to make sure that it will not arrive at the wrong destination. Although some may have the impression that this line of work is dominated by men, women can also play active roles here.

Q. About your current responsibilities
Q. Things that you find rewarding or important
My supervisors and seniors occasionally share with me their experience and knowledge that they have gained through many years of performing ground handling tasks, and I make the most of such opportunities to learn as much as I can. I do my best to clarify things that I do not understand whenever I can, instead of leaving them as they are.
Q. Tell us about your experience when you first joined the company.
I remember that I used to be afraid of on-site work as I did not have any basic knowledge of it, and it was also my first social experience. However, my seniors talked to me a lot, and I was able to gradually get used to the work environment. I now value the communication and teamwork among employees as I carry out my work.
Q. Tell us about a memorable episode from your work.
One incident that left a lasting impression on me at work was when I was allowed to sit in the passenger seat of a towing car driven by a female senior employee and watch the pushback operation up close. This allowed me to see a different side of my friendly senior, and I was struck by how cool she looked.
